In the "No sh*t...." department
Here's the latest from Sen. Joe Lieberman ("CT for meeeee!" Party-CT):
Friday, Lieberman said he will attend the Republican National Convention this summer, "if Senator McCain thinks it will be helpful to be there in some capacity."But of course. "[O]bvious reasons." Why didn't Joe say something about this in Oct.-Nov. of 2006, I wonder. Oh, right. He wanted to get elected....
Lieberman is co-chairman of McCain's campaign in Connecticut with U.S. Rep. Christopher Shays, R-Bridgeport.
"I am not going to attend the Democratic Convention for obvious reasons," Lieberman said.

Lieberman is a disgrace. The Dems should return the favor and kick his ass out when they no longer need him after the 2008 election.
They should strip his committee posts and boot him now.
I mean, how bad do you have to be to get booted? I understand "majority" concerns, but isn't there a time when principle demands taking a stand no matter the price?!?
Cheers,
The most obvious reason is that they most likely won't issue him credentials!

... whereas the Republicans will. Guess those nasty Dems are no longer the "big tent" party, eh? :-)
Cheers,
I hate to say it, but I think majority concerns trump principle. There is no sense in handing the rightwingnuts an edge when you know they wouldn't do the same for you.
We'll have to agree to disagree on this one, Bartbuster.
Cheers,
